"Beaded Chain" PDF Beading Pattern
This simple beading pattern will easily teach you how to make a “Beaded Chain” bracelet! With over 25 high resolution full color photos and easy to follow step by step directions, this pattern is perfect for beginners interested in working with wire and beads!
Depending on the chain you use and the look you are going for, you can use as few or as many beads as you like. You can make a bracelet so full of beads that you can hardly see the chain, or you can make a more delicate looking bracelet by adding only (1) bead on every few links.
When picking your beads, you can go with whatever size and as many colors as you'd like. For my sample, I am using (2) different colors of 6mm Swarovski glass pearls as well as (2) colors of glass bicones. It is completely up to you to throw in whatever beads you'd like. You can put your beads on a certain pattern like mine or just throw them on randomly – however it works best for you.
It will depend on the size chain you use as to how may beads you can fit on each link. For my sample, I am using a 4.6mm oval link chain made by Beadalon sold at my local craft store. It is an inexpensive chain because it is silver plated and not sterling. You can use plated chains, sterling silver, gold, copper, gunmetal, etc. Whatever you'd like! When choosing your headpins, you probably want to get the same metal as your chain. Because my chain is a silver base metal, I am using 20 gauge silver base metal headpins. Just for future reference, the higher the number, the thinner the gauge. I recommend a 20 gauge because it is sturdy but still flexible enough to work with.
